The near-perfect desert climate, with only 15-20 days of rain a year, gives us a lot to brag about. There’s fun-in-the-sun by day and balmy desert evenings to caress us at night.
From fall through late spring, days are warm and nights are cool. Yes, summer days are hotter, but it is a dry heat — you’d be amazed how comfy 100 degrees can feel. But a cover-up and high SPF sun screen are essentials by the pool, and a light wrap at night is a must.
Temperatures are 30-40 degrees lower at the Top of the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway and the Alpine community of Idyllwild, so dress accordingly.
