PUBLIC ADVISED OF INCREASED SECURITY
Due to increased Federal Aviation Administration security regulations at all U.S. airports, the following measures have been implemented at Palm Springs International Airport. Effective immediately:
- Vehicles not actively engaged in loading or unloading baggage will NOT be allowed at the curb in front of the terminal ticketing or baggage claim areas. Any vehicle in violation of this requirement may be towed at the owner's expense.
- Only ticketed, confirmed passengers will be permitted beyond security checkpoints.
The following security measures and advisories remain in place as well:
- Passengers are required to produce photo identification prior to boarding a flight.
- Keep a close watch on all carry-on packages and baggage; never leave anything unattended, even for a moment, as it might be tampered with.
- Never carry any article, package or baggage for another person, especially someone not known to them.
- Watch for unattended articles and packages anywhere in the airport or on the airplane, and report anything unusual to the airport police department, security personnel or the airline crew.
- Report any suspicious person, package or activity to the nearest police officer security personnel or airline agent.
Further information may be obtained from the Transportation Security Adiminstration.
